Privacy

The short version: we don't want your data, so we don't collect it.

What stays in your browser

Every number you type into the calculator (salary, RSU value, prior-year tax, filing status, state) is processed entirely on your device in JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server. There is no backend to send it to.

What we don't do

  • No accounts, no logins, no email capture.
  • No analytics on your inputs or results.
  • No third-party advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • No cookies beyond what the browser itself sets.

Analytics

We run a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views and see which features get used. It sets no cookies, collects no personal information, and the data never leaves our own infrastructure. It is not a third-party tracker. Your calculator inputs are never sent to it.

Referrals and affiliate links

Some links to third-party advisors or tax professionals may earn us a referral fee. This never changes the numbers the calculator shows you, and we tell you plainly when a link is a referral. See the terms page for the full affiliate disclosure.
